The Real King

The king of Iran had heard that Birbal was one of the wisest men in the East. He had an ardent desire to meet Birbal. 

So he sent an invitation to Birbal to visit his country.

            In due course, Birbal reached Iran. When he entered the palace, he was flabbergasted to find not one but six kings seated there. All were looking a alike. 

All were dressed in kingly robes. Who was the real king? Birbal observed all the kings minutely for some time. 

Soon he got his answer Confidently, he approached the real king and bowed before him.        

The king got surprised and asked Birbal, ''But how do you identify me?'' 

Birbal smiled and explained, ''The false kings were all looking at you while you yourself were looking straight ahead. Even in regal robes, the common people will always look to their king for support. 

''The King was very happy at Birbal's wisdom and embraced him.

Moral of the Story: A true is always self-reliant and self-dependant.
