The Greedy Disciple

 The Greedy Disciple

          Once a sage had many disciples. He taught them a very important MANTRA and said,

  ''Dear disciples, if you chant this MANTRA, you can get anything you wish for. But only one wish can be gained at one time.''

All the disciples learnt the MANTRA. One of disciples had greedy nature.

 He said,

 '' Respected Guru ji, I want to learn another MANTRA that can make two wishes come true at the same time.'' 

The sage advised,

 ''Son don't be greedy. Be happy with this MANTRA.

But the disciple insisted and so the sage taught him another MANTRA. The disciple went back to his village. 

There one day he wanted to test the first MANTRA.

 So he wished, 

''Let my house become of gold,'' and his whole house converted into gold.

Now the disciple become worried. 

He thought,

 ''oh! All the robbers will come to rob me for I am rich now. I'll use my second MANTRA. 

He wished, 

''Let my house be full of gold but only I can see it.'' Soon this wish also came true.

        After somedays, the disciple picked up some gold coins and took them to sell to a jeweller in return for cash. 

       As only he could see the gold coins, the people in the market could not see what he wanted to sell. They thought he has gone mad and they made fun for him. Thus, the greedy disciple learnt a lesson.

Moral of the Story (The Greedy Disciple): Greed is a great curse.
