The Miserly Devotee

True short moral story for Learning

         Once, doctor's tried to cure a rich man who was ill, but couldn't succeed. 

   Finally, the man prayed, 

'God save me, and I'll build a beautiful church'. 

   Soon, his prayers were heard. 

But the man broke his promise and brought a tiny idol of Christ.

 He took it to the church and said, 

''God, please accept my gift of thanks''.

    That night, he dreamt God saying,

 'You will find a bag full of gold on the sea shore'. 

Next day the man ran all the way to the sea, but there was nothing.

 The man understood God's lesson and repented.

Moral of the Story: Never make false promises.
